Larynx
摘要
Early stage glottic SCC carries a favorable prognosis with low rates of long-term complications when treated with RT. One particular advantage to using RT is improved preservation of voice quality compared to laryngectomy. Historically, small, daily fractions were used to treat this disease; however, treatment has evolved to a more hypofractionated, shorter overall treatment course which improves local control without increasing complications. This chapter summarizes the use of hypofractionated RT for the treatment of early stage SCC of the glottic larynx.
