摘要

The lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) has been used spectacularly in recent years in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) compared to the classical methods used in numerical simulation. LBM has been extensively applied to industrial flows, but rarely to environmental fluid flows which are generally modelled by Shallow Water Equation (SWE). Thus, the aim of this work is to introduce the preliminary results of the computer code, written in Fortran 90, that we have developed in our laboratory to solve numerically the Shallow Water equations by the LBM. In light of this, we suggest to apply this numerical model in order to simulate the tidal wave M2 circulation in the Oualidia lagoon. As first results of this numerical modeling, the code developed has shown that is capable of reproducing correctly the propagation of the tidal wave M2 in the Oualidia lagoon. Consequently, these encouraging results motivate us to continue the evolution and development of the model to achieve an operational code coupling several components of coastal flows.
