Food Behavior: A Breadcrumb Trail to Addiction

Obesity is an increasingly prevalent pathology that constitutes a real public health problem. Leaving COVID-19 aside, it has come to be described as the “Pandemic of the twenty-first century” by the World Health Organization (WHO), with more than a third of the world’s population suffering from it; when we are talking about the child population, it is one in ten. Obesity leads to a high number of comorbidities, as well as a significant shortening of life expectancy, and was the main cause of approximately 3.4 million deaths as of 2010.
