A New Proposed Model for the Influence of Climate Change on the Tension Anticipation in Hospital Emergencies

摘要

Various threats of different nature have emerged over the past decades such as COVID-19, terrorism, industrial, and environmental disasters. They have harmful impacts resulting in considerable economic and human damage. Indeed, the number of victims has increased year after year, and emergency services have experienced crises in the care of patients. Often, existing human and material resources in traditional health are overwhelmed, inefficient, and unable to manage stressful situations. Therefore, anticipating tensions in hospital emergencies has become a priority. In this chapter, a statistical model is created to anticipate the tension in hospital emergency departments based on data analysis and the influence of external factors, such as the weather variation. According to our model, the temperature represents an essential variable that influences the number of arrivals in hospital emergencies and the increase in blood pressure.
