Challenges for the Sciences and the Arts

This chapter elaborates on some of the challenges currently faced by science and art, encouraging a greater interdisciplinary openness to address them. New approaches to understanding scientific practice and the world of art are reviewed. Finally, the chapter discusses ways that science might be made more visible in non-scientific contexts, and how art and science can be enriched by other disciplines, using non-conventional communication channels.
