Bibliometric Analysis of Publications on Artificial Intelligence and Finance in the Databases of Scopus
摘要
The present study tries to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and finance through a bibliometric analysis. The study aims to determine the structure and trends in the industry. The study examines the evolution of AI in the financial sector and how it has transformed decision-making, automation of tasks, and customer experience while raising concerns about privacy, ethics, and employment. The main objectives of the bibliometric study are to measure the collaboration index, to measure the collaboration coefficient, to analyze the pattern of authorship as well as citations among the articles. Using 284 articles from Scopus, the study spans from 1990 to 2023 and focuses on publication metrics, citation metrics, and a combination of both. The results reveal that the majority of the publications cataloged by Scopus are from academia, and a majority of the papers are authored by individual researchers, followed by two researchers. The surge in the number of publications can be attributed to advancements in the field of AI and better awareness of it among participants in the financial sector. The study concludes that AI has significant potential in the financial sector but raises ethical and privacy concerns, and there is a need for more collaboration between academia and industry to address these concerns.
