The Telelibrary Conspiracy: An Autonomous Audience & Their Creation of Remote Community

I am part of a conspiracy. We officially have 50 members, although only about 10 of us are regular participants. We communicate through Discord, an online chat application originally developed for video gamers but now also used by other communities. We in this collective all identify as fans of The Telelibrary, a one-on-one theatrical telephone work written and performed by Yannick Trapman-O’Brien. For members of “The Conspiracy,” as we refer to our collective, The Telelibrary has served as a means of connection, collaboration, and creation during a particularly isolating time.
