How to Perform Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is one of the most performed cosmetic procedures in the world. This is attributed to its profound impact on the brow and cheek rejuvenation. Blepharoplasty augments the upper and lower eyelids to treat dermatochalasis and loose or redundant eyelid skin. The keys to safe and predictable surgical outcomes include a diligent medical history review, comprehensive facial examination, and thoughtful preoperative planning. Physical examination should consider brow, eyelid, and cheek projection. This narrative aims to address common pitfalls to avoid complications. The purpose of this chapter is to review pearls and pitfalls in blepharoplasty.
