Introduction
摘要
There is a vast trend, in contemporary artistic production, based on the re-discovery of an ancient projective technique, a baroque “perspective caprice”: it consists of a violently distorted perspective called anamorphosis. This volume intends to focus exclusively on anamorphic experiments in contemporary art and design, leaving an in-depth historical examination of its Baroque season to other studies. Themes, languages and fields of application of anamorphosis in contemporary culture will be analysed, showing for each of them the most appropriate geometric techniques for the achievement of the expected illusion. Each typology of anamorphosis will also be accompanied in this book by some actual installations or didactic experiments.
