Awareness Outcomes Measure (AOM)
摘要
The Awareness Outcome Measure (AOM) was created as a unidimensional measure to assess outcomes of self-awareness development. Awareness is a key component of concepts related to well-being, such as mindfulness and authenticity, with interventions often focusing on building self-awareness to improve them. However, measuring the effect of awareness development proves challenging due to the lack of reliable and valid measures focused specifically on self-awareness outcomes. This warranted the development of the AOM through Rasch analysis of the 38-item Self-awareness Outcomes Questionnaire (SAOQ). The resulting unidimensional 21-item measure is a reliable and psychometrically sound instrument consistent across sex, country, and age and that can measure positive outcomes of awareness development.
