摘要

Bacterial infection is one of the leading causes of mortality. The prevalence of bacterial illnesses requires the development of effective diagnostic tools since they pose an immediate threat to human health, especially due to increasing rates of antibiotic resistance. Detection and identification of bacterial infections are crucial in the fields of medicine, public health, food security, and safety. Although certain conventional techniques for detecting foodborne infections are sensitive, most of these techniques take a long period (several days to a week), which restricts their application. Therefore, it is essential to create new techniques for detecting foodborne pathogens. Because of their sensitivity, selectivity, and rapidity, as well as their low cost and simple operation, biosensors are becoming more popular for point-of-care testing. These biosensors could have a big impact on the medical and commercial level of pathogens through exploration and development. Rapid determination has been effectively implemented with electrochemical biosensing technology.
