Migration Policy: Historical Progress, Current Status and Future Directions

This chapter examines the evolution of migration and asylum policies, the incorporation of the Schengen Agreement into the European acquis, and the Dublin Convention along with Dublin II and III Regulations. It explores the Tampere, Hague and Stockholm Programmes, the European Pact on Immigration and Asylum, and the latest policy guidelines.
