Results of University Curricula Analysis
摘要
This chapter introduces the competency goals of selected introductory programming modules at German universities as a result of the qualitative content analysis. In the present curricula analysis, the cognitive competencies expected from novice of programmers are clustered into categories representing programming competencies. These competencies are then classified according to the Anderson Krathwohl Taxonomy Matrix (AKT). The presentation of results, therefore, follows the AKT dimensions representing six cognitive processes: Remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, and create. In addition, other competencies and dispositional elements of programming competency are presented as results of the quality curricula analysis. An evaluation of the analysis’ reliability is followed by a discussion of the most interesting findings, and how they relate to prior research, and the AKT.
