Postinsertion Problems

Similar to the other prosthetic treatments, treatment with removable partial dentures may also cause problems after insertion and these problems should be taken into consideration seriously. Patients should be recalled for periodic evaluations; the oral condition and prosthesis should be evaluated and their problems should be considered. Postinsertion problems may encounter more difficulties if not solved seriously as far as failure of the treatment. This chapter deals with the problems after insertion of the removable partial dentures; the possible solutions to handle these problems and the precautions the clinicians should take to avoid recurrence of these problems. The problems and solutions are classified into categories and mentioned one by one for clarification.
