Initial Placement and Adjustments
摘要
Initial placement and adjustments of removable partial dentures (RPDs) are crucial steps in ensuring optimal function and patient comfort. The process involves a series of appointments during which the dentist evaluates the fit, stability, and retention of the RPD, as well as the occlusion and esthetics. Adjustments may be needed to improve the fit, reduce pressure points, and ensure proper occlusion. The dentist may also need to make adjustments to the clasps and framework to improve retention and stability. With careful planning and adjustments, RPDs can restore patients’ ability to speak, chew, and smile with confidence, improving their overall quality of life. The clinicians mostly underestimate the appointment for the delivery of RPD. However, this appointment is as significant as other procedures. Thus, it is important to offer sufficient time and effort for this appointment.
