Nutritional Support in Patients with Esophageal Cancer
摘要
Impairment in oral intake is one of the first findings in most patients with esophageal cancer, and these patients often present with nutritional deficiency before surgery. The side effects of multimodal treatments increase the already existing nutritional deficit. For all these reasons, effective nutrition of the patient with esophageal cancer in the pre- and postoperative period is one of the most important factors determining mortality and morbidity.
