Surgical Management of Esophageal Cancer Complications
摘要
Esophagectomy is one of the major surgical operations. For esophagectomy, intra-abdominal operation and intrathoracic operations are performed. Sometimes the cervical region is included in these operation areas. Complications such as fistula, anastomotic stenosis, delayed gastric emptying, chylothorax, and recurrent nerve injury may develop after esophagectomy. It is very important to know the risk factors that may lead to the development of complications. When complications develop, early diagnosis and a dynamic approach are important factors that increase the success of treatment.
