Reframing Free Will in the Semiotic Hierarchy of Grief

The nature of free will is complicated and there are serious disagreements about what would form the theory of free will. Framing the meaning of free will contains different stages, which are here seen as related to stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Free will combined with these stages will create a semiotic hierarchy. This paper takes an example of a man who has run over a person and how he uses semiotic hierarchy in all of the grief stages and how doing so helps him overcome this rupture in experience. It shows us that in the end, the most important thing is to understand what you tell yourself about free will and your life in general.
