Applications of Machine Learning: Robotics

This chapter will introduce the readers to the basic concepts of machine learning applications in robotics. The chapter introduces computer vision and machine vision in robotics and how machine learning plays a role here. Then, the chapter introduces the concepts of object tracking, object recognition, and image segmentation in various robotics applications through theoretical explanations and practical Python coding examples. This chapter concludes by providing an instance of semi-supervised learning in robotics through a line follower robot example. By the end of this chapter, the readers will be able to conduct studies on advanced concepts of machine learning applications in robotics.
