Where Do We Go From Here?
摘要
The final chapter summarizes the research process described in chapters two through eight and suggests ways to continue learning methods and exploring project types based on the reader’s current position and desired career path. Moreover, it describes how to turn an abstract digital humanities project idea into an actionable and achievable vision by considering essential questions related to five pillars of DH project design: foundations, such as research questions and literature review; data and sources; purpose; resources, such as time, hardware, software, and expertise; as well as preservation and sustainability. Lastly, it links to a number of disciplinary guidelines for digital scholarship evaluation and resources on how to incorporate digital scholarship in a scholar’s tenure and promotion dossier.
