摘要

This work focuses on effectively exploring the application of computer vision technology in the field of healthcare. In this context, the research aims to address the limitations present in the traditional method of physiotherapy and how these can be overcome through the integration of advanced technology, revealing an opportunity to tackle these shortcomings. Computer vision technology, using OpenCV and MediaPipe in Python, is responsible for detecting key points on the human body and calculating internal angles when extending or flexing the knee. This approach aims to provide valuable support in the treatment of patients diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis, one of the primary conditions affecting individuals over the age of 45. The implementation of this work results in harnessing this technology to develop a tool for precise and objective measurement of the range of motion, presenting itself as an alternative to the current procedure. This leads to an increase in measurement reliability, benefiting a more accurate assessment of patient progress during treatment. Simultaneously, it optimizes the customization of treatment plans, surpassing the limitations of traditional methods.
