Monitoring of Wood Photodegradation by Colour Measurement
摘要
The chapter presents how effective the colour measurement is in monitoring the sensitivity of different wood species to photodegradationPhotodegradation. The colour measurement mistakes during outdoor weatheringWeathering test are discussed. Effects of outdoor and indoor sun radiationSun radiation tests are compared. Recommendations are given regarding the use of artificial light sourcesLight source to study the photodegradationPhotodegradation properties of wood. It is demonstrated that colour is an excellent parameter to monitor the effect of air temperature and humidity during photodegradationPhotodegradation. Experimental results show that photodegradationPhotodegradation is a highly temperature-dependent process. The effect of water leachingWater leaching on photodegraded wood can be followed by colour change monitoring. Colour measurement proved to be a proper method for determining the photodegradationPhotodegradation properties of thermally modified wood.
