Role of Various Metabolic Pathways in Bacterial Survival and Virulence
摘要
Bacterial survival and virulence are governed by a network of metabolic pathways that extend far beyond energy production and biosynthesis. These pathways serve as dynamic interfaces between environmental sensing, stress adaptation, and pathogenic behavior. This chapter explores how diverse metabolic processes—ranging from central carbon metabolism to coenzyme stability, polyamine regulation, and nitrogen assimilation—contribute to bacterial fitness and virulence across a spectrum of pathogens.
