Investing in Education: What Effect on Inequality in Morocco? A Simulation Study Using a Computable General Equilibrium Model
摘要
Investing in human capital through education, training, and work experience is a fundamental source of productivity and wage gains and can be considered as a driver of economic growth. This paper aims to estimate the relationship between education and individual wages in Morocco. To examine the role of education in reducing inequalities, we developed a computable general equilibrium model (CGEM) in which the micro–macro relationship is carried out by macroeconomic data obtained from the summary tables of the national accounts as well as information on households through household surveys from the database of the Haut-Commissariat au Plan.
