摘要

The analysis of the productive structure is of paramount importance, as it allows for an in-depth diagnosis of the links between sectors and the intensity of their contribution to wealth creation. This study aims to analyze the productive structure of the Moroccan economy by identifying the key sectors of the economy and their economic contribution in terms of production, value added, and income. As a result, this analysis also allows the targeting of industries according to the nature and intensity of their economic contributions. By using the concepts of linkage measures and multipliers, input–output models make it possible to quantify the direct and indirect, inter-sectorial and global effects of a variation in final demand addressed to an industry. The results show a quasi-stability of the productive structure during the analysis period. The industrial sectors are the only locomotives of the economy with forward and backward effects greater than one. However, the analysis of the sector’s economic contribution reveals that a rise in final demand by one monetary unit is translated by an output exceeding two monetary units, but only by a contribution in value added lower than one monetary unit. This is especially true for the industrial sectors considered as key sectors of the economy.
