A Geographic Information System for the Management of the Habous Property in Morocco

The habous establishment has had a significant function in both the spiritual and socio-economic history of Morocco. Income from habous possessions has allowed the nation to gain many communal and religious amenities and assist diverse philanthropic and civic activities. The habous possessions cover a vast array of classifications and functions, including agricultural and metropolitan land, as well as structures with notable inheritance value. Nevertheless, there is a deficiency of effortlessly accessible and comprehensive databases that consolidate information on the habous legacy, making it challenging for policymakers to optimize its potential. Although some experts have established geographic information systems to manage land and real estate assets, none have comprehensively tackled the opulent and varied habous legacy. To resolve this problem, we have formulated a database with a categorization and coding system that contemplates distinct degrees of observation and inquiry to fully apprehend the intricacy and significance of the habous legacy. This database has been interlinked to a Geographic Information System (GIS) to enhance data visualization and utilization.
