Natural Gas and Petroleum Products

Natural gas comes from gas wells, oil wells, and condensate wells. The separation of the individual components in natural gas is important for feedstocks for a variety of petrochemicals that will be discussed in the next chapter. This chapter is focused on the various products from crude oil refineries, including transportation fuels, lubricant oils/wax, cokes, and heavy products, such as asphalt. The additives that are also important for the finished fuels and lubricant oils are also discussed.
