Treatment of Printing Ink Wastewater Using Natural and Synthetic Coagulants

摘要

Due to the depletion of water supplies and environmental contamination fears, one of the main topics of research right now is water treatment (WT), which has forced the advancement of traditional wastewater technology toward recycling and reuse. To meet household needs, ensure public health, and protect the environment, this review intends to present the condition of natural coagulants and how they are used in printing ink wastewater treatment. Printing ink wastewaters have high concentrations and chroma (intensity or saturation of color), complicated effluent composition, and poor biodegradability. This wastewater typically contains various contents of oil and solids, cornstarch adhesive. The rules and regulations governing the environment forbid the direct dumping of this type of wastewater. The major goal of this review study is to determine the most acceptable and trustworthy thy method for treating colored wastewater and allowing the treated water to be disposed of on land without endangering human health, plant health, or industrial surroundings. Reusing clean water in the industry for all ancillary uses, such as machine washing, toilet flushing, and gardening, is the second major goal. The focus of this study is to present ink wastewater treatment options.
