A Comprehensive Review of Biomass Pyrolysis to Produce Sustainable Alternative Biofuel

The search for renewable sources of fuel serves to obtain sustainability. There has been a considerable number of studies in recent decades in the zone of biomass pyrolysis due to its high socio-economic benefits. Biomass residues contain potential energy that can be released through the pyrolysis process. Researchers have demonstrated that biomass resources can be used to produce energy via the gas, char, and oil pyrolysis processes. In this study, numerous studies have been discussed for focusing emphasis on the present state of pyrolysis substances and their prospective applicability. Materials such as plastics, tires, wood, rubber, and municipal waste were demonstrated. The review proved the possibility of converting organic and inorganic substances into one form of fuel. However, previous studies need to be developed for production at the industrial level. The resulting biofuels can be used to replace partially traditional fossil fuels, such as gasoline and diesel. They can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by providing a renewable alternative to fossil fuels. They also can help to reduce the amount of waste going to landfills, which can help to reduce environmental pollution.
