Diffusion with Stochastic Resetting

The stochastic resetting processes, whereby the position of the particle is reset to a fixed location at a random sequence of times, are frequently observed in phenomena related to physics, chemistry, biophysics, and scientific computation. In the latter, it has been applied as a useful strategy to optimize search algorithms in hard combinatorial problems.
