Diffusion Between Two Targets

In this chapter, we solve a set of diffusion problems within a finite one-dimensional interval, by means of the separation of variables method (where possible), and the Laplace transform. In the separation of variables method. Our main goal is to characterize the system with physical parameters such as propagator, flux, survival probability, mean first-passage time, and splitting probability.
