Boundary Homogenization
摘要
This chapter provides more examples of the boundary homogenization technique for two- and three-dimensional geometrical systems with complex heterogeneous boundaries and abrupt geometry changes. Boundary homogenization can also be used to find higher moments of the particle’s lifetime, the lifetime probability density, and the particle survival probability. Also, we focus on describing the analysis to obtain the rate constants as a function of the system by means of the so-called computer-assisted boundary homogenization approach. To such end, the mean first-passage time from simulations is compared with its counterpart predicted by the theory.
