Preparing International Students for Vocation
摘要
The political, economic, and social context of a country influences the motivations and objectives of students who wish to study abroad. However, there is a disparity between what American universities promise and students’ aspirations, which creates a mirage. This chapter assesses the fallacy caused by the disconnect and adapts the holistic developmental approach to suggest high-impact solutions for preparing these students for vocation both on and off campus, and to create better alignment between student and institutional outcomes.
