Emotions and Learning: Perceptions of Children
摘要
Emotions are central to learning. The acquisition of knowledge and skills cannot be divorced from emotions and attitudes toward them. While participating in learning in the school setting, children get emotionally significant experiences that have an immense impact on their lives as students and also beyond into adulthood. This chapter provides an analysis of the key factors that impinge on students’ emotions/feelings in the context of school-based learning. It is argued that emotions and learning are influenced by a complex interplay of personal, social, and cultural factors therefore, organization of formal learning in Indian school context requires orchestration of affective participation of teachers and students.
