Alif Layla Arts Center: Dream, Explore, Act

I envision democratic education to be a community-centered education that empowers students to be critical thinkers who are reflective and aware of themselves, their community and their histories. It fosters the values of empathy, curiosity and justice, and empowers students to become active agents of change and voices against oppression. Alif Layla Arts Center is a step towards this direction by proposing the design of a community-based arts center.
