摘要

In recent years, infectious diseases such as COVID-19 have posed a serious threat to individuals all over the world. These diseases can have an impact on people’s lives and jobs, as well as the global economy. In order to minimize the spread of such infectious diseases, infected contacts must be closely monitored and handled. Indeed, contact tracing is a process that is used to track and identify contacts during infectious disease spread. This way of tracing can also be viewed as a mitigation strategy for controlling and managing infectious diseases in a timely manner. In addition, numerous software tools are used to execute the contact tracing process. The major goal of these applications is to log all contacts’ movements and analyses them in order to identify suspected persons during disease outbreaks. Furthermore, during an outbreak, it is critical to categorize the risk level of infectious patients using these software programmers; this classification comprises high-risk and low-risk contacts. Contact tracing approaches have a number of obstacles, both from an application and a process standpoint. These difficulties include the following: The privacy of traced contacts, the ability to trace all suspected contacts, and contact identification deadlines are all important considerations. This paper describes contact tracing techniques, how they work, research trends in this area, problems in the process, and applications.
