Performance Characteristics of Selected Commercial Heterogeneous Transistors and TCAD (Technology Computer Aided Design) Tools

This chapter examines in detail the DC performance characteristics of selected commercial high performance RF|Microwave transistors. Also, the use of TCAD(Technology Computer Aided Design) tools to analyze, estimate and visualize key internal properties(charge carrier density, electric|magnetic field, potential etc.,) of common semiconductor devices(e.g., np junction diode, MOSFET etc.,) is examined in detail.
