Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence in a Business Context: A Bibliometric Analysis

Speed and changes in the environment arise from the need to apply emerging technologies in business. The characteristics of Artificial Intelligence allowing the development of algorithms implanted in machines capable of imitating human behavior and the advantages of Blockchain technology being a distributed record of information stored in blocks in a decentralized, encrypted, confidential and secure way propel the generation of innovative business in companies. The article examines the relationship between Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence using a Bibliometric Analysis, examining data from 583 articles published between 2018 and October 2022 with the keywords ‘Blockchain‘ and ‘Artificial Intelligence‘ from the Web of Science database. To realize the Bibliometric Analysis, it has executed the VOSviewer program. The work has detected six research trends in the connection between these concepts.
