Continuous Time and Discrete Time Fourier Series (CTFS and DTFS)

A periodic function \(f\left( t \right)\) with fundamental period \(T\) , i.e., \(f\left( t \right) = f\left( {t + T} \right)\) , which is reasonably continuous may be expressed as the sum of a series of sine or cosine terms (called the continuous time Fourier series), each of which has specific amplitude and phase coefficients known as Fourier coefficients. This chapter shows how MATLAB can be used to calculate the Fourier series coefficients of continuous time and discrete time signals.
