Efficient Image Contrast Enhancement by Using the Moth Swarm Algorithm
摘要
Image Contrast Enhancement (ICE) plays a vital role in various applications related to image processing and computer vision. Its primary aim is to enhance the quality of visual information in processed images. However, the presence of noise and small pixel sets in images not only hampers their visualization but also hinders the effectiveness of ICE algorithms. The inclusion of irrelevant information disrupts the appropriate distribution of significant pixel intensities, leading to issues such as undesirable artifacts, noise amplification, over saturation, and compromised human visual perception in most existing ICE methods.
