Support Areas: Psychrometrics

This chapter covers psychrometrics, which is the bread and butter for HVAC design and calculations. After a brief introduction in Sect. 4.1, ideal gas mixtures, ideal gas property definitions, and ideal gas formulas are covered in Sect. 4.2. Air–water vapor mixtures and psychrometrics are extensively covered in Sect. 4.3. Coverage in Sect. 4.3 includes definitions of psychrometric terms, formulas for calculating the properties of moist air, and the use of psychrometric charts in finding the properties of moist air. This section also includes the standard, sea-level psychrometric charts in both USCS and SI units.
