The Life of Julienne

This chapter shares the oral testimony of Julienne, a migrant woman from Cameroon. This story, based on real-life experience, is punctuated by episodes of violence and thus it may be disturbing or hard to read. But, beyond the emotional response that it may elicit, Julienne’s account serves as an entry point to the various themes that will be explored in the next chapters.
