Conclusion and Prospects for Further Development
摘要
This concluding chapter encapsulates the key findings and contributions of the research presented in this book. It commences by highlighting the transformative therapeutic advancements that have converted PD from a life-threatening condition into a manageable disease. Nevertheless, the intricate and progressive nature of PD continues to pose challenges for its effective management and the enhancement of patients’ quality of life. The chapter accentuates the originality of the research work, centering on the development of the A-WEAR bracelet as a cost-effective and tailored wearable device for PD assessment. A comprehensive comparison is drawn between the A-WEAR bracelet and existing motion data collection devices, accentuating the advantages of the A-WEAR bracelet in terms of cost, capabilities, and integration with a cloud platform. Furthermore, the chapter scrutinizes the validation and support offered to prevailing theories and models in the field of PD monitoring. It highlights the creation of an objective monitoring system for assessing PD symptoms, which employs meticulous preprocessing, feature extraction, and model evaluation techniques.
