State-of-the-Art: Wearable Devices and Deep Learning Techniques for Parkinson’s Disease
摘要
This chapter offers a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in wearable devices and Deep Learning (DL) techniques pertaining to the diagnosis and assessment of Parkinson’s Disease (PD). It initiates by reviewing innovative wearable devices specifically designed to detect and monitor motor impairment in PD patients. These devices are pivotal for objective and continuous assessment, ensuring accurate and timely diagnosis. The chapter also highlights pertinent challenges in the field, encompassing remote monitoring limitations, the absence of cloud platforms, and constraints related to multiple nodes, impeding efficient data collection and analysis. In response to these challenges, a novel contribution is introduced in the form of an eHealth platform tailored for PD patients. The developed eHealth platform exemplifies the potential for advanced technologies to revolutionize the field and enhance the quality of life for individuals grappling with this debilitating neurological disorder.
