Unity Gain Cells

In this chapter, unity gain cells (UGCs), namely, current followers (CFs) and voltage followers (VFs), are treated. Firstly, a number of CFs and CF-based analog circuits such as inverting/non-inverting amplifier/attenuator, integrator, differentiator, voltage-mode (VM) low-pass filter, VM high-pass filter, adder, current-mode all-pass filters (APFs), VM APFs, instrumentation amplifiers, minus-type CF realization, current source implementation, and simulated grounded inductor (SGI) are given. A second-order VM multifunction filter is also given. Additionally, CF- and VF-based numerous topologies, for example, parallel lossy and lossless SGIs, are treated.
