Construction safety Risks Management and Construction Site

Architecture engineering and construction (AEC) represents one of the important industries with regard to the safety risks. Every construction site is a unique place. It is influenced by many factors that need to be monitored and managed by the construction safety management tools. Numerous incidents are reported daily in various sections of construction site. From very beginning of a construction implementation (f.e. excavation works) to final finishing works, construction sites are in proximity to various types of incidents. Different types of construction work require different types of precautionary measures. The identification, assessment and reduction of risks are the most important issues of safety in the workplace, to effectively address health and safety problems. The paper devotes to the analysis of safety risks at the construction site. An analytical knowledge of this issue is used when solving a case study. An object of the case study is an administrative building—Duett Business Residence in Košice, Slovakia. The aim of the case study is the processing of construction safety risks assessment through the point method assessment; and subsequently the proposal of measures to reduce potential safety risks during construction processes.
