Peculiarities of the Load-Bearing Structures Restoration of the All Saints Church, a 17th-Century Architectural Monument in Lviv Region

The article presents the peculiarities of the preservation of the All Saints Church, an architectural monument of the XVII century in the village of Hodovytsia, Lviv region (Ukraine). The object of the instrumental research is the All Saints Church, which was built in 1751–1758 according to the project of a famous architect Bernard Meretyn in the Baroque style. This building is a monument of architecture of national importance. The interior of the church is made according to the best examples of Italian baroque churches. The inner walls of the nave and transept are divided vertically by the double pilasters with Ionic capitals, with deep arched niches between them. In the plan, the building is cruciform, single nave, with a shortened transverse transept. At the time of the survey, the church building was in a very dilapidated state, the roof was missed, the vaults were destroyed, and there were significant cracks in the walls. Speaking about the load-bearing structures of the church, the foundations and walls are the most preserved (except for the sacristy and precinct), despite the large number of cracks in the last ones. According to the instrumental survey of the foundations, walls and preserved vaults, the causes of all cracks in the brick walls were analyzed in detail and the factors of significant deformatiions of the building were determined. Unsatisfactory operation of the building was continued after the fire that broke out in 1963, which resulted in the complete destruction of all supporting structures of the roof. Urgent anti-emergency works with the necessary measures to eliminate the consequences of significant deformations of the church building and to prevent its further destruction with the fall of the load-bearing structures have been proposed.
