Study of the Strength of Concretes Based on M500 Cements with the Addition of Berament A2 at an Early Age

The article presents the results of experimental studies of strength development at the age of up to 28 days with concretes based on M500 cements produced by three Ukrainian plants (PJSC VOLYN-CEMENT, PODILSKIY CEMENT JSC, Ivano-Frankivsk Cement), modified with the Slovak-made BERAMENT A2 additive. The data on the materials used are given. The strength of concrete was determined by testing cubes with an edge of 100 mm for uniaxial compression at the age of 1 day, 7 and 28 days. Tables and graphs of concrete strength gain with different doses of additives (0.6; 1.2; 1.8; 2.4%) by weight of cement are given. A comparison was made of the rates of curing concretes depending on the type of cement and the amount of additive. The upper and lower limits, as well as the optimal dose of the additive for each of the three studied cements, were established from the conditions for ensuring the required stiffness of the mixture. Recommendations have been developed for the use of this additive for prefabricated monolithic and prefabricated reinforced concrete structures on M500 cements from these manufacturers. The main criterion for the use in the production of prestressed prefabricated reinforced concrete structures is the achievement of at least 50% of the strength of the concrete class at the age of 1 day.
