Energy-Efficient Ventilation Systems for Underground Fortification Structures

摘要

An important task is the development of effective, energy-saving ventilation systems, taking into account the modern achievements of science and technology to create inconspicuous ventilation of underground engineering and construction structures, both military and civilian. In the construction of underground fortification structures, the introduction of ventilation systems with heat exchange and removal of exhaust air for a certain distance will improve comfortable conditions and safety. The purpose of the research was to compare the efficiency of the heat exchanger with and without flow swirlers, as well as with a different number of their installation. Based on the study of the proposed model of the ventilation system, a linear relationship between the efficiency of the heat exchanger and the number of installed flow turbulators per 10 m of the air duct. According to the results of the study, the installation of flow swirlers ensured an increase in efficiency by 6% compared to the same design without additional elements. Therefore, based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of swirl generators in the “pipe-in-pipe” ventilation system is an effective method for increasing efficiency both for underground fortification structures and for civil facilities using energy-saving technologies.
