A Meshless Solver for Coupled Two-Phase Flow and Geomechanics in Fractured Reservoirs

This conference paper develops a meshless solver for coupled two-phase flow and geomechanics in fractured reservoirs. This solver uses the meshfree discrete fracture model (MFDFM) to simulate two-phase in fractured reservoirs, and adopts the generalized finite difference method (GFDM) with some revisions on local point clouds to handle stress and displacements simulation in the case of discrete fractures. A numerical case is given to show the current computational performance of this meshless solver, which will be optimized in the future.
